Forget 'big in Japan,' you know you've made it when you make the list of the top five most searched terms on Google!
And British R&B sensation Jay Sean is now part of that group and can sing along to Kevin Rudolf's "I Made It" with pride!
But while the "Down" star made it in the U.S. and on one of the most used search engines in the world in 2009, he wasn't nominated for one single Brit Award this year, what's up with that?
You would think that U.K.'s music industry would be proud of the fact that Jay Sean is the first British act to land a Billboard Hot 100 number one single since the U.K.'s pop group Coldplay did the same with their track "Viva La Vida" back in 2008.
"Down" became the best selling single by a British/European male artist in North America since Elton John's "Candle in the Wind" in 1997. You would think that would be enough for the awards show to be buzzing about their fellow countryman's success.
But that was not the case at all and Jay got more recognition from U.S. artists at the 2010 Grammys where the star of the evening, Taylor Swift, even sang "Down" on the red carpet!
Given all the accolades and praise that this British artist has been given internationally, it's a shocker that he wasn't even mentioned at the Brit Awards!
Whatever the reason, we're sure Jay is taking it all in stride while focusing on his career! Go Google!
